Agroecology is Life is a youth work project rooted in the Tuscia region and focused on strengthening ecological awareness, territorial knowledge, and active participation among younger generations. Starting from the environmental and cultural significance of the Lake Bracciano area, the project connects biodiversity protection, sustainable food systems, and community engagement through educational and participatory activities.

Strengthen young people’s understanding of biodiversity, ecological food systems, and the environmental value of the Lake Bracciano territory.

Encourage youth participation in the protection of local ecosystems by linking environmental knowledge with community responsibility and care.

The project takes root in the Tuscia region, an area rich in environmental, historical, and cultural heritage. Inhabited since prehistoric times thanks to its fertile lands, water sources, and diverse ecosystems, this territory represents a remarkable example of coexistence between humans and nature.

Lake Bracciano stands out as one of its most important ecological treasures, hosting exceptional biodiversity and a unique balance between lake ecosystems and surrounding landscapes. Today, however, this natural wealth faces growing pressure from pollution and intensive agricultural practices, already visible in nearby areas such as Lake Vico.

Agroecology is Life engages young people in exploring these challenges while reconnecting them with the ecological and cultural value of the territory. Through educational activities and community dialogue, students are encouraged to reflect on the environmental impacts of industrial agriculture and to rediscover sustainable relationships between food, biodiversity, landscapes, and local knowledge.
