Terrae Vivae Hub grows out of Officine Municipali of Bracciano: a free meeting, exchange, and co-working space. A project that creates a phyiscal platform for all local initiatives around biodiversity, food systems and collective stewardship of the territory

a network-space that brings to light and connects existing experiences, and helps to link ecological education, agroecological practices, participatory processes, and local communities

public initiatives, training courses, meetings between different local organizations, and moments for exchange and shared planning. It is a civic space where people can come into contact with the program and the hub.

Terrae Vivae Hub emerged as a natural evolution of the broader Terrae Vivae program, an initiative launched by Navdanya International in the Lake Bracciano region to foster a community-led agroecological and cultural transition. Recognizing that the ecological crisis cannot be solved by isolated sectors, the program spent years building grassroots relationships through ecological education, school collaborations, and local farming initiatives. As these various projects, youth programs, and agricultural networks grew, a clear need arose for a dedicated space to anchor them. The Hub was thus created to transition Terrae Vivae from a series of separate activities into a permanent, interconnected ecosystem. Functions as both a physical civic space in collaboration with the Municipality of Bracciano and a regional network, the Hub was established to unite previously scattered local energies—bringing together schools, farmers, artisans, and citizens into a collaborative infrastructure that transforms shared ecological vision into daily, collective practice.

Within Officine Municipali, the Terrae Vivae program promotes a community agroecological space, designed as a support service for the farming community—both professional and hobbyist—in the agroecological transition. The space particularly encourages the involvement of younger generations in the ecological care of the territory and the future, creating connections between training, concrete opportunities, and local needs.

Terrae Vivae hub is a living platform that organises thematic events around culture, food systems and communitiy. Local initiatives are invited to use and live the space and organise host their events within the space. Every season has a cultural offer ranking from local farm presentations to movie screenings.

A free co-working space that invites students, remote workers and citizens to connect in an open-space office and the outside garden area.

Officine Municipali is one of the spaces where the Terrae Vivae program takes shape as a physical hub: here we host meetings, activities, and moments open to the community.
