Biodiversity and collective water stewardship

Water is Life is a local environmental education project designed to engage young people in the stewardship of water ecosystems. Through participatory learning activities, the project explores the ecological importance of Lakes Bracciano and Vico and the challenges related to environmental sustainability.

Combining theoretical modules with experiential learning, participants interact with local stakeholders and organic farmers to understand how water resources are connected to agriculture, food systems, and territorial wellbeing. The project encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and active engagement with local ecosystems.

At the end of the program, participants produce a collective journalistic investigation reflecting their research and experiences, which is presented during a final meeting with local stakeholders and community members.
