Biodiversity is Life is a youth engagement project dedicated to raising awareness about biodiversity protection and sustainable food systems. In the last fifty years alone, the world’s wildlife has declined by 60%. Through educational and participatory activities, young people explore the connections between ecosystems, agriculture, climate change, and local communities.

Short Description
Biodiversity is Life is a youth education initiative developed by Navdanya International to engage younger generations in protecting the ecological heritage of the Lake Bracciano and Martignano territories.
Through a series of participatory workshops, meetings, and field activities, young participants explore the relationships between biodiversity, food systems, agriculture, and climate change. The project encourages dialogue between youth and local organic farmers, promoting awareness of agroecology and sustainable agricultural practices.
The initiative builds on Navdanya International’s ongoing work in the region and contributes to the development of the local biodistrict around the Bracciano and Martignano Lakes, strengthening collaboration between schools, farmers, civil society organizations, and local institutions.
